Source: Greencastle Daily Banner & Times 1 March 1894 p 2

On Feb 14 the remains of Mrs. T.L. Talbott were laid to rest in Forest Hill cemetery. Mrs. Talbott’s illness was very severe from its commencement and though she was given from the very first the most skillful and constant attention, six days of suffering ended the life that had been so freely spent in love care for others.  Her maiden name was Lucy Beale Daingerfield. She was born Oct 27, 1829 on her grandfather’s “Stony Mead,” in Fredericks County, Virginia. When five years of age she came with her parents to Indiana. Oct 23, 1848 she was united in marriage to Thos E. Talbott. Five children were born to them; of these Elliott, Fauntleroy and Mary gained heaven in childhood.  Mrs. Talbott united with the ME Church in her 20th year and being fully conscious to the very last, gave the blessed assurance that all was well. She leaves two brothers, Edwin late deputy treasurer of California and Lawrence residing near Albany, Mo; two daughters, the husband of her youth and many dear friends deeply afflicted in this sudden loss of her, who was so much of life to them. - kbz
